Ah.
I can honestly say one of my favorite things about fashion is the ability to tell a story. It, without doubt, is bound to create countless interpretations of a look. And with those interpretations, it’s just great fun 😂.
I thought in order to begin on with my opinionary as an opinionionarion (Denzel was spitting lol) I should divulge in some of my own catalogues.

A few months back, when I received an opportunity to model once again after a year of hiatus, I found myself standing in front of a cobalt blue, grand piano. YOU ARE THE ONE—-sorry Nicki. It was just the kind of scenery basically begging for a photo op. My outfit was simple on paper. Model call ready: black cami, high waisted denim, nude pumps.
But together they struck a kind of balance.
The look
- Top: black ruched-front cami —minimal but with texture that keeps the eye moving.
- Jeans: high-waisted skinnies – a leg lengthening silhouette, very clean and timeless.
- Shoes: nude pointed-toe pumps-sleek neutral, and the perfect finish to elongate the line from hip to heel.
- Accessories: I think a nice earring would have been nice. But the bare look keeps the minimalism on par.
- Hair & makeup: loose waves with natural definition. Paired with clean understated makeup.
The mood
Composed Cutie.
This is one of those everyday looks that you can dress up or dress down. The piano moment just elevates the ambience.
Runway Tip
When your outfit leans simple, choose a setting that tells the rest of the story. The deep blue piano became my statement piece here — adding contrast, drama, and just the right dose of intrigue without me having to add a single extra accessory.
Alright I’m beat: catch you in the next breakdown.
Let me hear what you do to make this look your own, below in the comments.
K bye
Robyn
